The quality of parenting children receive during childhood and adolescence plays a major role in influencing their developmental competence and ultimately their life course trajectories. Children without positive parenting are more at risk for their own relationship troubles, depression, anxiety, and aggression, among other negative outcomes. From birth, children rely on parents to provide them with the care they need to be happy and healthy, and to grow and develop well. But parents sometimes lack information and the support that they need for good parenting.
KHS recognizes the need to practice not only positive parenting but enlightened parenting with its benefits extending to not only the parents but also the wellbeing of the child. Parents often do not have the skills, knowledge or resources to raise children to their full potential. In order to give families the skills and knowledge to provide care, feeding and protection, KHS focuses on parenting programmes such as eN-Parenting.
Through eN-Parenting, KHS provides parents access to necessary skills and information, children grow to their full potential — emotionally secure, socially confident, mentally alert, healthy and growing up in an enlightened ecosystem. Enlightening Parenting is a course for parents to awaken to these truths
